Allow me a couple of thoughts. First of all, as the recent former owner of a 3rd gen RX-7, I can assure you that it is terrible to have an orphan specimen of a low production vehicle. They barely produced 10,000 of those babies. By the time you cross off the garage queens, plus those totalled in accidents, there were probably just a very few thousand still operating on the roads. Finding parts, or finding mechanics even modestly capable of working on that very complicated engine management system, was a major and frustrating undertaking. Replacing a couple of simple tubes for a defective air conditioner was a mammoth job. In a U.S.A with a couple of hundred million automobiles, even the production of 8 - 9000 S2k's per year for 5 years leaves you with a very rare and distinctive automobile, but at least one for which replacement parts and upgrade parts will be readily available for years to come.
Also, let's be happy for the improvements that come along. I hope you are all happy that I have a 2002 model with the nicer glass rear window with defroster, a less graunchy shifter, and a slightly more comfortable shift knob. If future owners get a fancier iVTEC, I will be happy for them, even if my simple 'binary' VTEC is inferior by comparison.

What torque issues? For an engine that revs to 9k and makes 240 HP doing so, this thing has mongo torque. I wish my freakin' 1400CC Nissan race engine had HALF this much torque. You can't have it all with only 2L of displacement. You can have torque and a low RPM redline or you can have what Honda gave us, which is perfect and amazing, IMHO.

I LOVE the fact that reviewers and publications bitch about the torque of the F20C. It helps keep Bubba and his redneck friends from selling their Mustanks, "Intimidator Edition" Monte Carlos and General Lee replica Chrysler 300M's and joining us snobs.
Chris, it sounds like you want everyone to buy an S2000. WHY?

I really don't care weather they buy them or not, but my feelings have nothing to do with it. I was just commenting that Honda appears to listening and making adjustments.. since they are in the business to sell cars they will do things to broaden their market.
