I had a lot of fitment issues with my J's Racing 60RS, I eventually opted to go with something else as well, so I feel your pain. I would either get a proper hood or sell it ... there's no point in ruining a $1000+ intake because it rubs on your hood.

You can buy stock-looking carbon fiber hoods with the space cut out already for such intakes, you could do that and just paint the hood.

js racing intkae and mugen intake i believe are built to use with their aftermarket hoods. thats only way they fit fine. or u cut ur hood

J's seems to have a lot problems with fitment issues. Their ETD heatshield totally doesn't work with their ETD. There have been multiple threads about that issue. Now we have the intake and exhaust fitment issue. Hm...

my old ap1 didn't have any fitment issues other than cutting the standard spot

took a bit of playing with but I got mine to fit in the end

Luckily, I picked up the Spoon ETD + heatshield before I even read about the J's heatshield issue. It fit perfectly with Puddymod's ETD bracket. The only issue now is that I got an Arc heatshield and need to cut it. I don't know what does a good job in cutting titanium.
