New Air Duct
Whats up everybody? Hopefully someone here has experienced the same problem i have. I just bought a PasswordJDM 2 piece air duct. Just got done about a half hour ago and the damn hood wont close. I know i can cut some of the hood off on the inside but i don't want to do that, and i neither have the tools. All my tools are on LI and I am in Manhattan so access to some of those tools are unlikely.
So if anyone here can please give me some advice on how to fix or what to do i would really appreciate it.

Hmm..well if your hood latch is adjusted, and the little rubber stoppers are all the way down and still wont close, you might just have to cut the hood man.

FACK!
I was looking at my nuts and bolts that i received with the kit, and its not the proper ones. I just called PSWDJDM and my luck they are closed. Im going to call them tomorrow see if i can get the nuts and bolts i need.
Thanks all

I just installed the intake on thursday. What i did is the front bracket that holds the power chamber makes the snorkel sit too high.
So i bent it with a mallet about 1/4 inch and then used a dremel to move the bolt hole in the bottom of the power chamber over so that it would line up and presto, hood shuts fine, doesnt even rattle.
Also what OC Gordon said, make sure it is as low as possible and sitting on the bar in front of the radiator. I also didnt use the snorkel brackets that were supposed to attach to the hood latch bolt and the bolt to the left of it. I just let it hang off the 2 small screws that attach it to the power chamber. I can post up some pics if you are still having trouble tomorrow.
