Drip rails? Those are on the roof, but not on our cars.

Use the jacking point in the manual (the pinch weld). Place the jack stands either on the rear subframe (towards the front of it) or on the frame rails about 6 inches in from the pinch weld.

There is a picture of the pinch weld in the owners manual. There are two placment points per side, one front and one rear. Those are easy once you see it in the book.

The others, frame rail and rear subframe, I pointed out in this picture. (I was in one of spacecowboy's Cusco threads, I hope he doens't mind helping out)

I also marked where to place the jack stands when lifting the front of the car. And be sure to block your front wheels when lifting the rear in the air....

I think you can't put the jack stands on the stock points co'z the jack will be in there while lifting the car.

I jack mine using a trolley jack on the front cross member jacking point and rear diff jacking point (as in the shop manual) and I place stands under the four scissor jacking points. Works for me and leaves plenty more crawling space under the car.

As for stability, you should always be very careful when working under a car on stands and I usually leave the trolley jack in position also, either front or back, and "lightly loaded" for extra safety. I also have thin pieces of rubber glued on the "stand pads" to ensure no slippage there.
