Jacking up car

I wondered where are the points of contact for using a floor jack to jack up stook and once it is up where are the points of contact for jack stands. Appreciate any info on this, Thanks

I jack the car up on the jacking points (rear differential & front cross brace) and then put carpet-covered jack stands under the stock jack points. Blocks are nicer to the support point, but I have the stands. In the front, be careful to use the actual metal-reinforced point and not the similar looking flange located directly in front of the correct point.
