Default Japanese Front License Plate...

Gang,

Does anyone know where one would buy a replica (or real) Japanese front license plate. It would cost too much to steal one because Japan is far .

I know that AutoGeek sells replica EU (EEC) front license plates and I'm think about getting one for my 996. I think it would be sweet to get a Japanese one for the S2000. What do you think?

Personally, I think if the police see you with a regular plate in the back and an illegal Japanese or European style plate up front, thy may want to pull you over. You may be better off with no plate at all up front. I know I wouldn't want to take that chance.

Uh... Dario... I live in Michigan, there are 0 laws governing what you put on your front bumper. I can put a plate from Timbuktu and they have zero recourse. You on the other hand, living in OH, do not have that luxury.

I think it looks silly to have a Japanese plate on a LHD car... kinda looks wack.

Uh... Kalcium... I meant in states that require a front plate. It might create more attention than if there was no plate. I wish we had the same law as you guys.

Alright peace.

I give up :tail behind legs: and admit it's not such a great idea.

Since our state requires front and rear plates, it's too bad we can't have European type plates. Hell, it's only a license number and sticker.

Dario,

On that note, I still haven't given up putting an EU plate on the front of my 996. No way. I grant you guys that a Japanese S2000 front plate may not be such a great idea. But the underside of the 996 nose is not that attractive and really could use a nice cover up. My options are either a bra or a EU plate (with a "D" for country designation )
