one is not better then the other.. it depends on what you match it up with.....

if you get the j's ecu, i suggest you get the j's intake, j's header, and j's exhaust..... that way you'll see the best gain.... these ecus are tuned using their parts......

so in other words..
j's ecu goes along with j's parts
mugen ecu goes along with mugen parts
spoon ecu goes along with spoon parts......

mixing and matching will give you subpar numbers/gains

whatever you do, avoid the Spoon ECU... it's a joke, seriously... I have dynos to prove it.

Filipe, I'm the only board member with a spoon crate motor, I also had the car equipt with a spoon header, throttle body, ARC intake, RSR exhaust, T1R test pipe, etc... back to back pulls on a mustang stock 03 ecu vs Spoon... spoon did absolutely nothing to justify the price.. peak was up maybe 1.4 whp, and the drop at 8 k was smoothed just a bit... in the end, I tuned my VAFCII and got 20 more whp...

Board member yes but not the only S2000 with the Spoon motor. I saw invoices of motors already shipped to 2 other states. None in California though.

Theres your problem, ditch the ARC intake, RSR exhaust, T1R test pipe. Keep the Spoon motor and add the other Spoon mods and see how you do. Just a thought.
I went all Toda + J's intake and ecu and will see how that does.
