Just got S2k, pretty clueless in certain areas about my '04. Planning on purchasing a J's racing intake, want to make sure before hand that it will fit under a stock '04 hood...? Also, referals to reliable sites or venders where I can purchase one, no shops in my area.

You would have to purchase a J's carbon fiber hood or cut your stock hood.

 

You should just drive it for a while before you mod it.

 

about hood fitment: it will not fit with the oem hood. you must cut it. it seems like it would be easy, but it's not. and then after you look at it, you say to yourself, that wasn't so bad, but if you think about it, it really was bad. so don't do it if you're scared like i was.

fitment on MY04+: i thought there was a beam in the middle that prevented snorkle type intakes from going down there?

 

I can't comment on the design of the 04' hood. But here are the pictures of my install.
