thanks guys
does anymore know if the J's ecu will keep the car obd2?
I doubt the OBD2 functions for emissions will work to pass an emissions test in your state. Remember, the ECU is for a race car not a street car, so they disabled all of the emissions related stuff.

also, can you use the j's ecu and also use a piggy back like a vafc or greddy eu?
It is a stock ECU and has been modified. So if you can use a VAFC with the stock ECU, then you could use it with the J's.

Now to the point. This is a 1600 ECU that you can no program. For 400 less you can get an AEM EMS that you can. The reason I would buy the J's ECU would be for track use only as it meets the SCCA requirement and turn off the emissions. But you are clearly doing this on a street car. Why would you want to spent the extra for no additional functionality?

What are you trying to do? Get some extra JDM pixie dust in your car?

IMO, getting an AEM EMS will involve with quite a bit of dyno time so it will ended up not just a plug and play unit.

J's Racing has changed the fuel, ignition, VTEC point (kicks in 300rpm earlier), rev limiter (9200rpm)and accleration pump settings. J's tuned the ECU by doing partial throttle o the dyno so ON/OFF throttle response is improved as well.

If you have questions about the ECU, you can PM me and I will try to help you.
