Default jazzed about prospect of 2004...

i've been holding off purchasing an s2k because i was concerned about
not fitting comfortably in the current model (i'm a larger person). i was jazzed to hear the talk about a possible tilt wheel and reconfigured dash to allow a little more room in the 2004. i respect those who like the tight fit of current models, but think i can rationalize getting a 2004 with those possible changes.
i also am looking forward to the possibility of getting a coupe, given the amount of rain we get in my part of the country.
can't wait to hear the definite combination of changes for 2004, and the possibility of getting myself into an s2k!. they are just about the funnest car i've driven (well, test-driven) - roller

roller, where did you get the info on the tilt wheel and more room? I'm 6'5" so that sounds appealing, but on the other hand, I'm not too juiced up about the coupe, and I actually kind of like that snug feeling in the '03's. who knows, I'll wait and see which I like better in October. 'til then just waiting patiently. good luck w/ your purchase.

i should have listed a disclaimer. all the speculation about changes for '04 are just that.
i have no inside knowledge, but wishful thinking makes me want to believe some of the
changes that are being kicked around. -roller

I'm really interested in the 2004. Let me ask this question: Why would Honda change from a 2.0 to a 2.2? This seems like a huge change and a milestone in the history of the S2K.

What is the philosophy behind the change in engine size? It seems like a watershed moment in the legacy of the S2000.

Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

thanks for the great responses. i'm thinking about flying down to
vegas and renting an s2k there so i can see if my legs get tired after a
3-4 hour drive. that's my main concern about the car, and it's something i can't determine
from a 20-minute test drive. i can only drive my '83 accord for about an hour before having to stop and stretch my legs. because of the greater expense on the s2k, i need to know that i will be comfortable in the car on a long drive. i'm 6'2" and 230lbs. w/ 32-34" inseam on my jeans. anyone else out there similarly configured that can share their long-drive
experiences? any wisdom welcome. -roller
