thanks for the thoughts, I am not going to put one on it after all, the 535 will def do that job just fine, but I got the idea after my friend with a lowered M3 decided to do it to his, but its different in this case so thanks again.

I am almost sure the car could handle towing a jet ski, but not too sure about backing it into the water to launch it. The light weight and wet tires on a ramp do not make a great combination. I think the S would be going for a swim.

Yeah I agree. Honda's comment about not allowing towing is most likely just a disclaimer for stupidity. As far as I'm concerned, so long as you tow within its reasonable weight limit, you can tow with ANY car.

Honda might make an exception for this:

I just brought a s2k 02 and Im putting a hitch on there for a jetski. I don't see how it cant pull it. I used to have a 95 ford escort and it towed the jetski with no problem. I dont think it'll cause any problems at all. Its not like the whole weight of the ski is on the hitch, probly only 60lbs is on the hitch. Whats worse; towing a jetski at 65mph or beating on your s2k at 150 mph or doing other crazy things we do with the car for fun. The only thing I'm a little worried about is when your launching it, but I still dont think itll be a problem. My friend had a supra (turbo) and towed with it just fine and also launched to fine. How sweet will it be when you got the top down with your ski in the back cruisin to the shore.........now thats priceless.

2002s2k - what kind of ski did you get. I have a sea doo rx. I dont know whats more fun the s2k or the ski. I know I'm going to get some comments on this statement but unless you have a jetski and know how to ride it, you would understand. 2002s2k enjoy that ski!!!

Thanks for the reply Roadruler, I just got a Sea-Doo GTI, I know its not the fastest or the most agile, but I am just starting out and figured it would be good for a year or two until I get good, if you are anywhere in the NJ area let me know and we could cruise sometime.

...And I dunno whats more fun either, we'll have to see after this summer seeing both of them at their best and then I think I can give a fair decision.

While it's understandable that the car should be capable of towing a jetski, I wouldn't want to do anything that the owner's manual clearly states could void the warranty.

I read a lot of the posts in S2Ki and this thread may be the most ludicrous. Wow.

2002s2k - The GTI is a good ski to start out with. You'll get the hang of it in a few months. I learned it pretty fast because the people I ride with have been riding for years so they showed me all the little tricks early. Thats the best part, doing tricks and jumping waves.
I usually ride in LBI, I'll let you know when I ride.

I know alot of people who pull trailers for tires and a tool box. I also have a jet ski, while I wouldn't pull it with the S2k, I don't really see a problem with pulling it. The jet ski weighs next to nothing. I can move it around on the trailer with no problems. The only problem you may have is with launching the jet ski, that's where I would be a little hesitant. I have seen in the past, people unhitching the jet ski and tying it off the the car with a long rope, backing the trailer into the water (Of course this depends on the angle of the ramp, DO not attempt this with a steep ramp!!!). Again, the drivers manual explicitly mentions that you should NOT tow anyting with this car.
