damn thats all i have to say now we need cameras in our honda dealership service department

 

I've always wanted to put cameras on nice, higher performance cars that get left at the dealer for service to see if the porter takes them for a joy ride. I'd be willing to bet dealers would be exposed on another level of service if customers knew that their cars were being flogged instead of being cared for.

That's pretty bad, but I used to work as a mechanic and this and worse happend pretty regularly. If you have a mechanic you can trust, you're defianately ahead of the game. Something I saw that was much more pervasive was the bluring of the line between maintenance and fixing actual problems. A customer would come in with a miss and need a new plug wire. The estimate would include a full plug wire set and all the maintenace items, like fuel filter, air filter, injector flush, full tuneup. Usually a few hundred dollars worth of stuff for a $1.00 plug wire.

Could Jiffy Lube be sued for this? If you installed hidden cameras on the car then find out they didn't do the work could you use that video footage in a civil lawsuit?

 

Jiffy lube? Thats nuts, they hire kids, I would never let kids touch any of my cars, inculding the high school carwash.

 

This is so old, but another reason why I would never ever take a car there.
