I bought his custom system over a month and a half ago and he shipped me everything except for the capacitor... well I pm'ed him several times asking where it was and on Feb. 5th he replied with this:

"I went to send off the capacitor (after polishing it for you) and did not have it "discharged" ... they asked me at FedEx and I told them that I thought that it had " bled-off" on it's own. Capacitors don't work that way

I had it discharged over the weekend and it will go out to you tomorrow ... sorry for the delay. At least now it's safe for you to handle."

So it would have gone out on the 6th of Feb. And unfortunately I haven't received it yet. And I need to get his number or if a moderator can give him a call for me and see what's the deal, because I decided to sell it and I have somebody interested in the entire setup and it's pretty hard to do that with out the capacitor that I PAID FOR!! Thanks

I'm sorry, but we're not the scam/fraud police. When you purchase something off S2Ki it is like buying something off a newspaper advertisement - you wouldn't call the editors of the paper to get your money for you if you're scammed. You are allowed an outlet on S2Ki (like you have with this thread) to tell the community what is going on - just keep it civil.

If I recall, John is in Texas - maybe someone from his local community can get in touch with him on your behalf

Poindexter: Yea, I totally understand where you are coming from and understand you guys are not responsible for the sale. And I appreciate you giving me some helpful information, like where he lives, so I can possibly post in there to see if anybody knows him personally.

S2000GT: Thanks for nothing really...

I don't feel that I was ripped off at all, as John sent me the other $1050 in parts and said that the capacitor just had to be discharged. I am more afraid that it got lost in transit or something like that because he shipped it over a month ago and still no progress. I am also afraid that he might not come on here anymore, since he is done parting out his car and may have even sold it or... whatever.

I also posted this hoping that maybe if he came on just to browse the site again he would clearly see the post titled JOHNSS2K!!

If anybody has any info on how to contact John, I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks to anybody who may have some helpful information

Do you have his e-mail address? I believe I have that somewhere.

He hasn't posted anything since December 31. Here is a link to his last post.

If you click on his name on the left, you can get a link to his email (useless if it is an S2ki email address) but it also has his AIM address.

Good luck

It was my turn to be "bad cop" today as Alex was in a good mood

Besides that, I do hope you get what you are looking for. Shoot me a PM when you see this as I might possible have a way in which you can contact him

I have little doubt that you will eventually get the items that you purchased. John is a trustworthy seller. He simply has proven to be very, very distractable in recent months with the items he has sold. You will eventually get the item, but it may take a bit longer than you had originally hoped.
