Looks like you've got a few fun projects for this weekend. I'm jealous.

Sorry, but I guess I'm old. I like to make a few changes to my car, but what is it with cf. Why is that the hot new thing? I'm asking out of curiosity, not to put anyone down or anything. But, cf hoods and interior. What is carbon fiber and why is it so great?

Again, only seeking knowledge, as I really know nothing about it, other than it seems to be the "in" thing.

Enjoy your weekend with you new items. I know I like it anytime I get a chance to improve my car!

Dave

Excellent question Dave. I have seen some great products made for the S2000 and it seems that these items (like the air channel tubes or intake tubes) could be made out of regular ABS plastic that is cheap and readily available but NO. It immediately needs to be made of carbon fiber and the price is driven up respectively. I have no idea why but I find the whole thing rediculous. I am aware that Carbon Fiber is strng and light, other than that, who knows?

It's pretty much the strength and weight factor that has given c.f. the 'bling bling', as far as I know.

I used to love carbon fibre. But now I see it used so often that I'm just tired of it.
