How many miles were on this car when you picked it up?

why did you pick up the car in that condition? Didn't you inspect the car prior to signing the paper work? Return the car immediately, otherwise, you are going to have more problems later on.

I had a friend there with me and neither one of us noticed when we picked up the car. I didnt go over the car with a magnifiying glass because I guess I really hadnt given much thought to the idea of a dealer screwing you if you dont watch them like a hawk. And if I cant trust this dealership- which I dont think that I can now, why would I want to let the car out of my sight with them?

Lesson learned......

I did a complete "walk around" before buying the showroom car.

Ok, congratulations and welcome to the club. Now, about your dealer - get pictures and complain in wirting to the dealership and copy the letter to American Honda. It's not that your word shouldn't be enough, its that you want this complaint in writing for future reference, should there be any other problems. Your dealer should be able to change out the wheels and send you home smiling. Now, if this was one of those trades between dealers and your dealer is looking at some serious problems because another dealer sent him a "road test" model off his lot, you may want to find out the name of that dealer and "report" him to AH as well. As manufactures go, Honda is very conscious of its customers, even if the "Stealerships" aren't. By the way, my dealer traded for my car. When it came in, the "S200" name plate on the door sill was scuffed and the dealer offered to have it replaced free of charge! there are good guys out there, so don't judge the Honda experience on this one dealer. And good luck - also - post some pictures!

You guys are right. I need to "man up" and raise some hell until they get it right... Its just that dealing with any kind of sales pricks is so mind-numbingly painful that I try and avoid it like the plague. Dealerships know that most people dont want to be "hyper assertive" and take advantage of customers at every opportunity....
