Default just bought an 05 s2000

I just bought an '05 s2000 from John Eagle Honda in Houston. I got it for $30k +TTL. There were some problems. In all fairness, the guys in the finance department were the best EVER- so big ups to them.

Now for the bad part.

Both of the rims on the passenger side have curb rash that is several millimeters deep. The radio antenna is missing. My salesman seems to think they can "buff out" the curb damage instead of giving me new rims. I paid for a car with new rims. Yet, I dont get new rims. This is definitely not how a new car buying experience should go.

So- spend countless hours harassing the dealership until I get new rims or tell everybody the dealership sucks and warn them away?

**updated with good news. See last post. **

Get new rims man!!!!!! Damn. Also, get an antenna. Call American Honda and tell them of your experience.

Oh, and congratulations.

I would start with the salesman and ask him to speak to his boss if you do not get rims and the antenna . If that does not work ask the boss who his boss is . One thing I would use is tell them "Since the rims are damaged and the antenna is missing I want 3000 dollars off since it really is a used car" Make them Very Clear you are not letting this issue go lightly .

How many miles were on this car when you picked it up? It might be a new car (not titled before) but it sounds like a demo model. You might want to ask about an extended warranty also. Although since the deal is done I don't know how much leverage you have.

Buff out the rims???

There is no way they can buff them out and make them look new. The wheels should get replaced!

As for the antenna? That should be a no-brainer. It's cheap, put a new one on there. Unless they were giving you a LOT bigger discount on the car than it appears they did, they should be taking care of all of this without you having to say a word.

Where is the dealer you're doing business with? I think there are several Honda dealers in the Houston area that are owned by John Eagle.

Good luck & Welcome to the Club!

Drive Safe,
Steve R.
