Just bought 2002 silver/blk s2k under sticker!
I too live in Hollywood FLorida (not the real Hollywood) and have been reading through this
board for a couple months now. Your post made me finally register so I could respond.
Which dealership? I've been to the one on 441 and called Largo Honda. It seems their are
a few pre-orders and I was going to wait for the initial rush to be over with and then do some
serious shopping around the holidays. plse advise.....

That's what happened when I traded my truck in for a Honda Passport. They had a guy that was ready to buy! I drove in a used Ford Explorer Limited until my Passport came in. . .two weeks later! A dealer will do most anything to sell a car. . .when they really need to!
Plus, with impending circumstances facing our national economy, better to do the business now then later!
i have been working with tom at Maroone Honda. So far all seems well, however i would feel more confident if i had met him in person. being in Austin Tx this is less than convenient. I have however heard good things from people in the forums about them. one thing i have also heard is, AVOID Braman Honda OM Miami, FL LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!. do a search for Maroone and/or Braman if you would like to see what everyone has said.
If you go to Maroone honda and talk with Tom please do me a huge favor and let me know if you think he is trustworthy from your impression and the basic feeling you get from their dealership.

gomason, please forgive my earlier post, it really had nothing to do with you. My point, which was horribly made, had to do with the dealers themselves.
First off, I used to be a salesman at Honda, and I'm good friends with the local owner. He has yet to receive pricing on the '02 and it all comes to the dealers the same way and within a couple of days of either coast...most of the time. Secondly, if you purchased a car for under what my dealer doesn't even know what to sell it for...good for you! I was just stating that it is very improbable. I hope the dealer doesn't back out on you.

i just got in from the anaheim my2002 car show and they had a sticker on the s2000 there. if i remember correctly, the 2002 model year sticker on there was 32k and some change. i got to see it first hand.
the chrome rings around the tailights are very subtle and nicely done. you can barely even notice them...
