Just Bought a S2000
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a used 01 S2000 this past weekend. I am a newbie on this car...I noticed the clutch on the car seems pretty stiff...Is this normal on the car? When I go over speed bumps or train tracks the rear seems to kinda sway side to side more than a regular car. I don't know if you know what I mean but hopefully you can help me on this. Or maybe its just me
Thanks.

Congrats on the car!
The clutch on mine doesnt seem any different than on my Accord - but I think they made the clutch in the '04 a little lighter.
It's also possible that your prior owner put an aftermarket clutch in. Some of them are VERY stiff.
I don't think this would have anything to do with swaying but I recommend you check the rear tires for proper size if they are not the OEM tires see this thread for more info:

Remember to
for the most fun! Re the swaying: What kind of speed are we talking?
The clutch doesn't seem any stiffer than other cars. What I do know about S2K is the stock clutch engages very high up.
In regards to the side to side swaying, are you going over these bumps in a turn or straight on? If they're straight on there shouldn't be any side to side motion. In turns, hitting bumps the car feels like it's airborn for a small bit and with the stiff suspension it does go sideways a bit.

When I go over like a hole in street (stupid potholes) at40mph or faster the rear end for like a millisecond or something feels like it would break loose but then goes back to normal. So watch out for holes.
