The clutch doesn't seem any stiffer than other cars. What I do know about S2K is the stock clutch engages very high up.
In regards to the side to side swaying, are you going over these bumps in a turn or straight on? If they're straight on there shouldn't be any side to side motion. In turns, hitting bumps the car feels like it's airborn for a small bit and with the stiff suspension it does go sideways a bit.

I also bought a used MY 01 and my clutch was also very stiff. My car was still under warranty and I talked a dealer into doing the TSB for the clutch rattle. When they took the tranny out they found that the previous owner had abused the clutch ( smoked disk and pressure plate ). They replaced the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing under warranty. The clutch is very easy to work now and I love it. I'd have the clutch checked. Just my opinion. Congrats on the car........
