Help me mod my "new" stock airbox. Having done a few searches - there are plenty of posts on the airbox. Anyone have a favorite mod they are willing to share? I've seen the thermotec wrap - makes sense. What about the radiator mat? Can't find a pic of that.

I'm considering the Coastal duct - unless it may actually hurt performance. Haven't seen any empirical data so far either way.

I just bought one too. I'm going to mold my own CF or fiberglass duct from the side of the box to the fender well where I already have my fake duct cut out. Then I'm going to paint it yellow using a small hobby paint system with many bottles of Spa Yellow touch up paint and a heat resistant clear coat epoxy used in RC airplane painting. It may be many hours of wasted time but it'll be a fun winter project.

 

You sir, are far more ambitious than I! Sounds like that project will be very cool (pun intended)

I'm sure it'll look 50x better than the heater hose I'll probably have snaking through my engine compartment! I just didn't feel like cutting or drilling anything other than the fake air duct for the sake of a little bit more horsepower.

Keep me posted. Maybe if I wrap the Coastal duct in fake carbon fiber... haha
