Got an 06 for invoice as well. Actually went to buy an 05, but my dealer had sold out. When I asked him to locate one for me, he offered the deal on the 06. Told him I would look at it, but would probably pass because of the wheels.

I was amazed at how much better the new wheels actually look. They have a much larger polished area than the previous years that doesn't show up at all in photos. Really pops in the sunlight. I went from hating them to really liking them.

I agree that the DBW is seamless, and the sound system is much improved. To me, the sound improvements alone are worth the additional $500 in price.

The only change I don't like is the daytime running lights. I know they are a safety feature, but my vanity doesn't like anything that draws your eye from the wonderful lines of this car.

I can't believe a glovebox warrants the illicit response of "06 is the best year yet"

Although the DBW/VSC would be a debatbale, but not the glove box...

Just Pull the DRL Relay if you don't like it.

The glovebox warrants no "illicit" response. The 06 car as a whole warrants "the best year yet". Nothing is wrong with having DBW/VSC. Formula 1 cars use all sorts of technologies to maximize available grip. Still technology will not make you a better driver. Why not have it a roadgoing car. It extends the usability of the car for most weather conditions. And, you can turn it off. Someone in created a circuitry for MINI's to have DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) off by default. I bet somebody will come up with the same thing for the 06 S2000.

The 06 S2000 is just one of the most amazing cars I have ever known!

I got my laguna blue 06 here in So Cal. Took about 4 days waiting for my dealer to be able to find one through a dealer trade.

Well worth the wait, Laguna Blue is absolutely gorgeous. I agree with the DBW, absolutely seamless from my perspective.
