The glovebox warrants no "illicit" response. The 06 car as a whole warrants "the best year yet". Nothing is wrong with having DBW/VSC. Formula 1 cars use all sorts of technologies to maximize available grip. Still technology will not make you a better driver. Why not have it a roadgoing car. It extends the usability of the car for most weather conditions. And, you can turn it off. Someone in created a circuitry for MINI's to have DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) off by default. I bet somebody will come up with the same thing for the 06 S2000.

The 06 S2000 is just one of the most amazing cars I have ever known!
If you take the time to read and try to understand the comment you would see that the poster was actually saying that DBW/VSC might warrant the response, just not the glove box... And I totally agree with the statement. I would like to have VSC too, but not if I had to exchange my '04 wheels for the '06 wheels as well .

To all that feared DBW. Your fears were unfounded. I just went from a MINI Cooper S with also DBW to an 06 S2000. The MINI had some ocassional bogging down at quick throttle input. The S2000 is beyond perfect. No issues whatsoever.

The wheels look beautiful in real life. You must see it in person.

The new texture on the seats look also wonderful. Pictures do no justice.

Above all, you can get 06's for invoice already, at least, in Florida.
When you turn off the VSA by pressing the button on the right side... does cluster show any sign of it being off?
when i testdrove, nothing came up and i couldn't tell if it was on/off...

Yes, a little light comes on in the dash. You can't just press the button though. You have to hold it down for a few seconds.

CRAP, this is not the glove box that i had imagined. oh well, i thought it had a door and closed flush as if nothing was there. this appears to just be an opening. forget it, i don't want it anymore.

i just went out to look at the 06 S, i was not a fan of the rims when i saw the pics (perfered the 04-05), but in person they actually look better than the 04-05 rims. The dealer had an 05 S next to the 06 and I was looking at the rims side by side. Other than the headrest, the seats looked much better than I expected.
