Just got a letter from Honda.
When I was shopping for my car, I asked if the car had a timing belt or chain. The sales guy said that it had a belt which seemed odd considering the car's high redline. I did some research and when I went back I told my sales guy that the car did in fact have a chain. He disagreed and we walked over to the service center where the guys there looked it up on the computer. Surprise, surprise. It had a chain.
I think a majority of dealers tend to lump the stook into the standard Honda model when considering design.
BTW: I still purchased the car from that sales guy

I received a similar letter, and it DID mention rotating the tires. Hmmm...
Most dealers contract notifications such as these out through third party, using info from service records and estimated mileage. It's their version of tele-marketing!
