just got my car
So I'm under warranty from a Subaru dealership where i bought my S2000 used. I have a 1 month/1000mile warranty bumper to bumper. Do you think i could get all of these TSB's(tranny buzzing while deceleration, vibrations in rear end,and notchy shifting into 2nd) taken care of since I'm under a warranty? How would i go about this...if its even possible??
Dear Penis,
The answer is no. You didn't really buy a warranty. And you didn't buy it from a Honda dealer. The Subaru dealer will just laugh at you and say, "You should have bought a new car, what did you expect?"
The "warranty" you bought is, I'm guessing, extremely limited and would only cover major mechanical failures.
The only place I've heard of that gives a comprehensive 30-day warranty is Carmax. But they charge a premium for their vehicles.

You are SOL. Did you drive it first? Did you have it inspected? Did you do your research on S2000 problems? Wait until you take the valve cover off on that one. Hopefully you bought the car about 4K under market for a new clutch and flywheel, trans, and rear halfshafts.

You can try, but I agree--your warrantee is not the same as a Honda 3/36 bumper-to-bumper unless your sales rep is willing to make his shop work and argue it to his boss. On a TSB you'll probably have to do some work to convince him.

yea, my dad says an S2k is just a penis-car, meaning its just a car for picking up ladies lol.
but yea the car drives fine, i just read these TSB's and was going to try and get a new clutch and 1st and 2nd gear for free. It rarely has the notch in 2nd and i sometimes hear the buzz in the tranny, so its not that big of a deal if i cant get it fixed, im sure ill be putting a nice clutch in there in a few months anyway.
thanks for all the wise words.
and yea i test drove it, but with the top off/down and u cant really hear much but now with the top on, u can hear all the gears moving and the clutch engagement if u be really really quiet, everyone that has ridden with me says im crazy they dont hear anything, so i think im just being paranoid
