They are much better...Rick, you must do a better job in how you discribe your products! j/k

I must admit, for the price I paid for them I was not really sure how the quality would be of them...But I can tell you that I am very happy with the fit and finish of them... They look great!!

Thanks again Rick

Exactly -- they're Honda parts, so you can thank them for the quality.

I posted this on the "installation" thread but nobody has directly responded:

-------------------------------

Rick,

I received my clear side markers yesterday and, of course, installed them right away.

However, I noticed that the original amber side markers appear to have dedicated right-side and left-side construction. When you turn the amber side markers over, and look at the backside, they are mirror images of each other. The plastic clips on each are even different. Also, the "indents" for the bulb sockets are in different positions on each so that the wiring and sockets fit very cleanly.

Both of the clear side markers are identical to each other. This doesn't seem to be a problem with the overall fit as the clear side markers fit very snugly without any play or gaps. However, the wiring and socket on one side of the car had to twist around a little.

This is really weird especially since each of the amber side markers appear to have the same number markings. The only difference in their markings are that one has an "L" and the other an "R" on the backside. Both of the clear side markers have exactly the same markings.

Anybody else notice this or have the same problem?

I installed mine today, and also noticed this. Just means the wiring has to come down from above on one of the markers, makes no difference, they look great and function fine.

These are original Honda parts made for S2000s in Japan. So whatever differences there are with the amber are Honda's doing, and I think they know what they are doing

You are so right. I still have the Sonars on my car (I didn't want to take a JDM pair from someone who had paid for them) and they shake around like loose change in a big pocket. Sometimes I wonder why they don't fall off.
