Default Just got my obd2 code scanner

Hey all!
I just purchased an odb2 code scanner it is hand held and
works on all cars 1996 and up with odb2 it reads stored and pending codes, erases codes and resets mil's, it has a two line read out that gives the code number and a one or two sentence description of what the code is. it can also freeze codes. Really easy to use.......the scanner with the helms service manual make "mil"...aka check engine light really easy to diaganos . The scanner was about 160 dollars and is made by KAL Equip. I had a check engine light after i installed my aem cia and messed up the vaccum lines. I corrected the vaccum lines but my check engine light kept on tripping. So i plug in the scanner it gave me a p04010 (think that was the code can't remember) secondary air system malfunction.......so i looked in the helms manual followed the check list of trouble shooting and sure enought my airpump fuse 60A in the under hood fuse box was blown. ahhhhh installed a new fuse reset ecu and no more light. If the fuse blows again i know i have a short some where....but i have a feeling that the backwards check value and crossed vaccum tubes made the pump blow a fuse. Cool.....i am good to go. I would stongly suggest this scanner if leaving your car at the dealer is a hassel and ya like to do things yourself like i do. plus it works on all obd2 cars....just checked my girl friends ranger 4X4....ahhh clogger egr ....cool....time to hit the parts store!
