Default Just got our 2003 S2K

We're back!!!
We picked up our 2003 S2000 on Saturday. And today it hit the end of the 600 mile break-in period. We went riding through Western NC this weekend to accumulate the miles (not Deals' Gap---but it was tempting). That will be the destination for the next trip.
We had a 2001 and sold it a while back. Since we picked the car up, we have been asking ourselves why we sold the car in the first place.

BTW- when is the profile menu's drop down tabs going to be updated for the '03s???
Glad to be back

We never drove an '02, but everything appears to be the same from the '02s that we have seen in the past.

Oh yeah, the price was different --- we paid retail for our 2001 but the 2003 we picked up for $30,600 + all the usual fees. (Yes that is a savings of $2000)

I can't remember the exact color name, but it is the Dark silver (the silver they brought back for 2003) with a black interior.

Silverstone! One of my favorites. Good choice! Enjoy.

The glass rear window is makes the car actually bearable on the interstate with the top up. We'll sacrifice the rear visibility for the flapping window any day!

During the break in period, we made sure to use the entire 5500 rpms (using part throttle) and the engine seems smoother than our '01. I wouldn't bother prolonging the break in period beyond what the manufacturer says (600 miles).

We can't say much about the gearbox or clutch since it has been a while since we drove our last S2000. It works very nice (like we remembered).

As for the silverstone silver, we initially put our deposit on a Sebring silver car. The dealer got the two silver colors mixed up, so the car that we waited a month for ended up being THE WRONG COLOR!!! We took the car, but with a $2000 discount!

We didn't want silverstone since it seems to be the most popular color, but it is growing on us!

Goodnight,
Justin and Michelle
