I found this quote about the acceleration of the S2000 online and just had to share it....

"Power builds in three distinct phases: from idle to 3000 rpm, the car feels pokey but acceptable. From 3000 to 6000 rpm, acceleration is not particularly inspiring but satisfying and enjoyable nonetheless. Then, at 6000 rpm, the little engine kicks in abruptly as if it has a turbocharger coming into boost, and the car goes like mad right to the point where the rev limiter introduces its telltale stutter."

Could this motor be built to feel "crazy" like it does above 6K rpm through the rev range? Meaning from 2K on it just screams... (w/o FI)

it sucks imo...it almost feels like turbo lag. It sucks when you're tracking the car because you want to stay in the power band, but it's so narrow being only above 6k. IF you drop below that, your torque drops significantly. it makes power in "3 distinct places" because the torque curve is not smooth at all....I just dyno'ed my car a couple days ago and found out first hand how ugly our torque curve is. i'm getting the hondata reflash soon however which makes the curve alot more smooth and linear.

Yup. What you do is take your 4 cylinders, find 4 more, stick together, and its called a V8...
