Where are you guys buying the plastic that the speakers get mounted onto? How much for the pair?

Please tell me if I have the right logic.

It just occurred to me that the panels are already attached to the back of the seat in a stock S2K.

Option#1 - To install speakers, you remove these panels, cut holes in them, connect the wiring and then put them back on the seat.

Option#2 - Buy the speaker kit from www.lucidautomotive.com and swap out the existing seatback panels for the precut ones.

Is that right?

i am so going to do it

but i just worry about how much seat travel i am going to lose because of the grill for the rear speaker. i also have sony 6 1/2" grill and they looks quite tall.

#22Benny, how much seat travel are you losing? how tall are you?

Im only losing about 1 click when reclining, but I still need to clean up my install since the screws I used are too long and impede the panel from going all the way in. Im 6'1"

will the seat back rub against the grill on bumpy road though?

i am afraid of a rough spot on the seat back if the grill rub against the seat back ...

If you have it that far back, it is definately a possibility.
