I don't know, but at 5:20 in the clip, he drifts it through the entire S curve beautifully.

OK.... so I guess in hindsight, I would probably not tell everyone about that crappy show! I liked that 10k redline thing..duh!

The S2000 is rated at 0-60 in 5.9 by honda...exactly the same as the boxster S is rated by porsche...

Well, at least the S2000 driver could get the car a little sideways in those 2-3 turns... the porsche guy couldn't.

I've got the codec (and a Microsoft one too it seems) but I get no video. When I go to file|properties in Media Player it says "unknown" next to "video codec". Is there something else I need to do?

I can't believe they consider the Boxster's chassis is more rigid than the S2000's.

I think there're a couple of things to keep in mind of that review.
1) they like expensive cars...
2) they are not true car guys... they enjoy soft cars with lots of leather

I mean, if you consider the fact that they even said a few things nice about the S2000, it's already a win. Fact is, they are not true car nuts... they don't appreciate the high revs. They, like most people, like big engines with low end punch.

So, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

David,

I was going by the general numbers...

0-60 1/4 mi
Road & Track : Porsche : 6.0 16.9
S2000 : 5.5 14.2

Motor Trend : Porsche : 6.0 14.5 (wow)
S2000 : 5.2 13.8

I have excluded the Car and Driver numbers because the test they did was very early and they did not drive the car the way it has to be driven to get the best performance.

Of course the Boxter has it's advantages in-town (which can be overcome with an agressive driver), but there is no comparrison on the track.

Is it just me, or does the Porsche not sound raspy?
