if you don't walk away tell the dealer/person you are buying it from you want them to have it fixed through Honda before you buy it if they aren't willing then something is definitely up

okay then is this problem, something Honda would fix since it's within it's warranty?cause I don't see how they would even sell it at car max if it has this problem =/
yeah well back when carmax first started they wouldnt sell cars that were wrecked. then time went by and they now have there own body shop. so a carfax from carmax doesnt mean shi* anymore. i would never buy from carmax. the busted up car on the showroom they wouldnt sell it to you because it hasnt been through there body shop yet. ive seen them painting cars outside in no paint boot

Now on the test drive I noticed that when I pushed the car into VTEC 6000rpm from 4-6 gear, the clutch pedal shook violently. It was so violent that it took effort to press it down to down shift to slow the car. I was going on the Highway and pushing the car to 90.
Hmm I dunno just observing it sounds to me like he skipped switching into 5th dunno if that would be a problem.

if you don't want to finance and you already have 20k+ cash saved, you should be able to get great deals left and right, just say i have 20k cash and will hand it to you if you hand me the keys. you should get a lot more attention that way.

or just save a little longer and buy brand new...

naw man it's a carmax they dun do that =/, I'll just keep looking around. This just seem like a good opportunity to me because I don't usually see a Laguna blue around this area. Im going to test drive it again just to see if I made some mistakes. But yeah it's about 6K over my budget

here is the listing if anyone is interested, one of the cleanest used car I've ever seen

go to carmax and search s2000 in rockville,MD

Does anyone else feel that "no-haggle pricing" is just a scheme to get people to pay higher prices?

Carmax has to be hurting just like everyone else. I have a feeling if you walked in there with a $20k offer they would consider it. Even though it is against policy.

Having said that, from the OP's description this is not a car I would touch. It sounds like it has serious issues.
