Just waxed my S and it looks great. Beautiful shiney GP White with the convertable boot cover on. Shiney wheels. Geez! It looks so good in fact, I almost don't want to drive it because it'll get dirty. In fact, now I'm even thinking I might buy a beater and save the every day wear and tear on the S. Maybe I'll get something like a Ford Ranger for a beater. Oh shit, I have to go to the supermarket today...top up and get ready for a lengthy walk from the end of the parking lot. Ok...enough procrastinating, off I go.

I know what you mean. I am looking for an old 1960-1970 truck as a beater. Drive the beater two days a week and in bad weather.

 

Ok...I drove to the store, parked far away from the door, put my top up and went in for about 1/2 hour. When I came out, I found F--ken bird shit all over my car.

 

my solution...
i always cover the car. can leave the top down and i get the protection on the sides of the car from the cover.
then the birds know to stay away, cause its no challenge for them to mess up the cover!!

 

LOL...it's like that Chevron comercial. The Car just got washed and polished, when he was introducing how clean his valves are. The birds are above him on the telephone wire and he moves to the left....the birds follow.

Or the one with the lady feeding the birds on the side of the road...this guy in a convertable comes smokin in and scares all the birds away. A few mins later he comes back to his car (top still down) and see's a white interior on a normally black interior car.....Priceless
