Of course a replacement filter is better. I have no argument against this fact, but IMO K&N filter is a superior quality than stock and JR.

Since I now own a JR filter I can say (at least initially) the are on the exact same level as K&N.
I need a group buy distributor in Spain for Cookie Cutter Group Buy #1 ...
But seriously.. I've always been interested in the K&N but have wanted to keep my airbox stock and intact. Is the JR available in Oz? Is the Honda filter really that sh!tty?
honda_s2k - why the regrets?

Muz,
I also just wanted to keep my airbox stock, if possible. Although I was able to do a fairly clean job on it using a Dremel tool, I probably should have waited a little longer for a drop-in.
As an engineer by profession, I don't like the idea of hacking something, especially when I do not have enough information to truly appreciate and understand the reasoning behind it's initial design.
The other reason for my regret is that, as STL has pointed out, the K&N's velocity stack was not specifically designed for the S2000, unlike the JR filter.
Oh well, it's not an expensive mistake in any event.
BTW, I am working on those pictures right now. Back to work.
