Anyone put a K&N filter on a PRM intake?
I'm interested in this myself...........the dimensions of the filter that comes with the PRM don't seem to match up with any of those on the K&N website............although I may be missing something...........

Oh.......good question.............not sure why you would want to put one on the end..........myself, I would like to know the K&N part number equivalent for the filter in the canister...........

there is a filter on the inside of the canister. So, are you talking about adding another filter to the end of canister, thus ending up with two filters? The only thing I could imagine doing is taking out the filter from the inside of canister and using the empty canister as an air sink (much like the J's) and have a competch filter on the outside...if it would fit.

I don't see the real advantage in doing that. The filter that is in the intake is high quality....may be K&N, not sure. PM RUSS, he's forgotten more about the PRM than I know. But, if your looking for increased cooling, I would remove the faux vent on the passengers side. Also, know that I think about it, removing the inside filter and using the drum as a cool air sink might be a good idea.... the competch is a cone filter that you could place on the end of the drum, with the tip in the airhorn/fender well. With the faux vent cut out this should greatly improve airgflow.
The filter inside the canister is very similar to a K&N but according to Gerry, is NOT a K&N. e-mail him at prmracing.com to cross reference a K&N part # or you can order from Gerry directly.
