Default K&N FIPK

I live in SoFla and will not take any chance that could get me hyrdrolocked. Does this CAI function about as safely as stock (short of burying the noise in a puddle)? Also - is there an S2KI vendor that sells these?

I really doubt you can hydrolock with this SHORT RAM intake.

To hydrolock the K&N FIPK, you're going to have to drive straight into an ocean/lake. This is definitely one of the top 3 intakes available for the S:

-AEM V2
-Comptech
-K&N FIPK

(not in any particular order, "best" depends on what you're looking for)

Here is mine...

yea, it would be difficult to hydrolock with the comptech or K&N. The AEM is definitely a high risk.

And to those that say Hyrdolock is an old wive's tale. You have NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.

i have the k/n and have driven through some serious rain storms with no ill effect. the filter is up there pretty high and would take a lot to reach. plus it sounds cool when stepping on the gas!

Got a link to where you heard sound clips? I've searched Google listings and couldn't find anything.

The difference is really subtle there because of the quality of the recording, but gives you an idea. From the 20 or so threads I looked at, got nothing but positive feedback from everyone that bought one.
