Default K&N short ram intake

Does anyone have any comments concerning the use of K&N short ramintake compared to either new K&N intake system or other cold air systems.

Short ram is a hot air intake.
You can get something better than that.!!

Ok, short ram= good throttle response because of short piping but power deteriorates as the engine and radiator heat causing it to suck in hot air.

Cold air= throttle response suffers slightly due to pipe distance but you continue to suck in near ambient air temps even after the engine/rad is warm.

At least that's what I've assembled so far from my research.
