Kakimoto Full-Mega N1 for S2K
I was thinking of getting Kakimoto Racings Full-Mega N1 Muffler (Exhaust) for my S2000 and want more information about it. I did do a research at this forum and also other website (including Kakimoto HP) but did not find info that was really useful. I want to know if this will increase performance and if yes, how the torque and hp change, and if it is more for torque or hp. Also, how loud it is and quality of its sound. Thanks.

I have the Kakimoto Full Mega N1 but I can't really tell you anything of relevance as my S is supercharged.
Like any exhaust there is very little performance gain, but my god this thing is loud. Keep in mind that I'm feeding my engine much more air than NA so it may not be indicative, but this thing is embarassing to drive in public without a silencer.
Oh, but it is extremely light compared to stock.

Thanks for reply, Does someone know if it is true that when you change your exhaust it can actually power down because of "too much" exhaust flow and it actually brings down the torque. (for NA)

Keep in mind most of these exhausts we talk about are cat-back. So you still have the same header design and catalytic converter before you even get to the exhaust.
I don't believe the theory about needing some back pressure or harmonics to maintain torque really applies to our engine. It was designed from day one as a high RPM high power engine rather than a torque monster. The stock exhaust is high flowing compared to other cars.
