Default kangarooing s2000

Help! Does anyone have a clue why my s2000 would be kangarooing at slow speeds? She has driven beautifully for 400 miles this weekend, but this morning traffic was really slow and my car was struggling to pull away in 1st, loss of rev's and then similar in 2nd and 3rd.

I've heard it could be something to do with the air-intake? Any ideas......

Cheers

At what point are you shifting? If you shift at low rpm's, you're probably experiencing heat bog. A CAI will help alleviate the problem.

it does happen at low rev's, but what i found today was that even if i set off with more than 3000 revs i'd lose power - i was having to ride the clutch to keep revs and get momentum.

what's a CAI?

Push the clutch in and start over.

thanks, when it does this i dip the clutch and then give it plenty of revs, but it still does it. i can be in 2nd doing 30 mph and it have to dip the clutch to get revs back.....

it's only above 30something when the car stops acting like this!

is this a common problem? it has done it before, but only once, then a few revs seems to clear it. today it did it for much longer. any idea what causes it?

It's certainly not an inherent problem. If it makes you "look like a new stick driver," either you or the car has a problem. Could be any number of things but step #1 is to take it into the dealer and get someone to look at it. Demonstrate the problem and let the mechanic drive so he can see for himself.

i think the 9k redline causes it!
i find i'm a much smoother driver on any stick, other than my s2000!
