kangarooing s2000
Mine has done that once or twice, when I am in line to enter the gate of my work. Of course that can take 30 mins, and the traffic speed is very very slow and stop. Never really worried me though. Cleared up immediately after I got to moving again.
From my understanding it pretty much happens to every S2000 at one stage or another. I have also heard that there is no real fix for this as such. I normally chuck the clutch in and re-try with a few more revs.
I've read on another thread on this site that is is caused by the air intake being too far into the engine bay. Hence when you stop the intake is taking in hot air instead of cold. Engine doesn't like it much and you get the kangeroo effect. A blast of speed will clear this or stop the car and turn the engine off for a few moments is the other option. Had it happen to me a few times when the weather was warmer. Not happening at the moment as it always cold and wet!!!
It happens to al Stooks - mine started doing it 4 days after I bought almost 3 and a half years. It goes away for a while, I haven't had it happen in the last 3 months, then all of a sudden it can occur 5 times a day for a week..
I don't think it can be fixed - it's part and parcel of Stook ownership.

Had this happen to me too. All this time I thought it was my poor clutch work, and I no newbie!
One time when it was particularly bad, a truck driver drove by and called me a F'n Spaz. lol
The problem went away totally after I installed a CAI. I can cruise bumper to bumper at 2-3 mph and just feather the throttle with no bucking at all.
