Sorry for the off-topic post. Just wanted to tell jvrabel that the smiley-face version of Radiohead's "Just" video in his signature is brilliant.
For all those interested, these can be made for no more than $10. In fact, I've made a set for my own car (Berlina Black) for the cost of $2.38.
These "plugs" are available at your local Lowe's. They are in the auto carpet tack section (next to the bolts, nuts, and screws).
Color match paint is available from Dupli-color in spray cans. I happened to already have a spray can available so that didn't go into my price factor. I think a can costs about $2.50 - $6.00 depending on the size of can you buy.
I took mine one step further and sanded down the "texture" on top of the tab. It took about 5 minutes with a dremel. I also "notched" the keyhole plug after thinning it down a few mm's. The 'notch' creates a lock once the tab is inserted. Only way to get the keyhole plug out is by forcing it to one side and then having to stick a long needle into the keyhole to compress the notch.
Works great, many of the Chicago locals have seen it.

Ehhh....took me two to three hours in total to purchase them, sand them down (to what I wanted....although this wasn't necessary), paint them, and plug them.
...versus, spending an extra $10 (which would go into my gas tank for more drive time), ordering them, waiting on the envelope, receiving an envelope that's empty, and then finally getting a replacement set that may or may not match 3 or 4 year old paint.
All in all, having this done is 3 hours vs. waiting for them for a week or longer AFTER I've ordered them...I choose to make them.
Everyone, choose whatever you choose to do...it's your money, time, and effort. I only suggested another option to let everyone know that it existed.
...about the $20:$32,000 cost to price of car ratio, I assume when you go to the gas station, you fill up in full-serve. Because with a $32,000 car, I'm sure an extra $1 or $2 isn't too much to pay for convenience.

bro, I didn't post that to get you worked up...since you were sharing you opinion of this guys cost on my thread I just thought I'd post back...it's always "to each his own" anyway...and I'm sure yours are worth more to you personally cause you made them, props for going the extra mile.......and full service gas stations...that was a good one

I'm not worked up at all. I hope it doesn't read that way, I'm not trying to be argumentative at all....just being "matter of fact" on this. Nothing more, nothing less.
