Default Klean-Strip "sticker shocker" hurt paint?

I just picked up Klean-strip "sticker shocker" a bumper sticker remover from auto zone because I could not find the Xenit Adhesive remover by 3m or stoner recommended by rick for the H badge removal and S badge install. Has anyone used this product and will it work to remove the H badge adhesive ? Will it hurt the paint?

Thanks
Joe

I don't think the H badges were held on by adhesive. They have mounting tabs. I used goo gone on the S2000 emblem though.

Are any of the badges on the S held on only by adhesive? I'd rather not find out "the hard way"...

Only the "S2000" on the side of the car is held by only adhesive. Both the front and rear badges are held by both adhesive and mounting pins.

H badges do have adhesive. I had my body guy pull mine off but the badges still had a gray goopy sticky substance on the back. Shouldn't be too bad, though.

Thumbs up

Does anyone know it Klean-strip will hurt the paint? I have a black 05 and everything shows on black so i want to ensure this product will not mess up the paint. I was told that there is adhesive on the H's and pins...and according to the install instructions on ricks site there is.

Thanks
Joe

the front H uses a locking washer to hold the H in, as well as double stick tape. The S2000's on the sides use only massive amounts of double stick tape. The rear uses a 'snap-in' nut and double stick tape. The rear pops right out if you remove the adhesive. The front is nearly impossilbe to remove without breaking the emblem, so are the sides, due to the ultra-strong tape they use.
