Knocking noise when tail slides, is this normal?

Was the repeated knocking noise I heard when the tail was sliding normal?
The noise stopped as soon as the tire(s) gripped. I hadn't experienced any noise when I cornered or u-turned at any speed as long as the tire gripped unlike some others had experienced.
What noise was that? Differential in the works?

I don't usually let my passengers ride in the trunk when I decided to let the tail out... but it could be a passerby...
It happens every time the tail slides out for more than roughly 5 degree, but nothing when I launch it on wet with wheel spin.
Any idea?
