I emailed KVR performance to see what they had for the s2000 and they replied:

Sunny, here are the prices you requested for your S2000, Front rotors $265.00 each drilled and slotted, rear rotors $298.00 each drilled and slotted, front pads are not available at this time in carbon fiber the rear pads are $62.00 for the set. These prices are in US funds and the cost of freight is extra. Thank you for your interest in KVR braking products,

Gary

I heard this is a very reputable company, I've heard good stuff but not first hand info. Any comments? Price sounds pretty good.

Their website is http://www.kvrperformance.com/

I hope this post doesn't violate any regulations of the board, I'm not afilliated with them. I just thought I'd spread the info.

I know they have a good rep but those are the highest rotor prices I have seen to date. (I have a quote for drilled, slotted, cad plated, cryo treated rotors for less).

cdelena,

where is your quote from? I am interested in purchasing front rotors soon. Giampero's MG Racing ones sound good, I am waiting to see if he will sell the fronts only.

Thanks.

KVR are a great company but yes, that's overly expensive.

When I was on the Corvette forum (when I had my C5), they were going to do a group buy for 5 customers, of front and rear discs for under $500 for the FOUR!! And the C5 brakes are way bigger than S2000 brakes.

I'd give Baer a call and see what they have available. They may be a lot cheaper.

Cheers,

The ART rotors for the S2000 are a real bargain at $135 each but I cannot vouch for them and have seen no track references.. see http://www.appliedrotortechnology.com/

Frozen Rotors have a good rep but fully prepared are about $195 each.. see http://www.frozenrotors.com/

Stock rotors are about $75 each.

KVR performance are great. I know the price are so high. I got my AP Racing Caliper through them without knowing how much a replacement rotor will cost me. It cost me $550 for 2 on the front for my BMW. Granted it is 330mm x 28mm slotted, but I can get one made by a local race team and cost me $80 per side. That is a huge difference. On the plus side, they will support you when you have a fit problem to your car. But, I am sure I am not going to frequent them often. It will reduce my wallet weight pretty fast.
