If you notice it takes longer for the bars to go when the vehicle is full. My Porsche is the same way. It takes forever to go from full to half full, then it seems to be really quick from there..., Not sure why that is but it seems to happen on most cars.

Mine is the same way.. TERRIBLE past 3 bars.. I own an AP2 as well.
When I first notice it's down to 3 bars, I drive another 30seconds, look back down, and it's on fumes, with no bars... lol, ALWAYS happens. WTF.

It's never been this way, but I've started noticing it when gas became a more apparent worry for me earlier last year, when it peaked out over $4/gallon. So, I always kept an eye on my gauge. But still, regardless, I've just never seen it this bad.

Does Honda do a calibration check or anything during any one of the major milestone services??? Because, I'd definitely like to have it looked at... (approaching 100,000 mile mark!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhh!! Bought the damn thing brand new, January of 2006!!! wtf! lol)

Good luck with your problem, and hopefully this problem can be diagnosed and fixed properly!
damn thats alot of miles for a few years. mine is the same way too, its horrible actually when i get to 2 bars.

Fuel tanks tend to taper towards the bottom to funnel fuel to the lines (pump whatever). Therefore when it gets towards the bottom the faster the fuel seems to be getting used.
that explains alot

From what I understand, once the fuel light opens you have 10 liters left.

And it must be true because this weekend I drove 70 KM on a flashing gas light (couldn't find a gas station). Can anyone else confirm this?

its a 13 gal tank according to the manual, right?

i believe one of the issues is that if you're uphill or downhill, the sensor reads your level differently. big issue when you only have a couple bars left.

I've driven 60 miles after hitting a REAL zero bars.. i.e. if I turned the car back on it wouldn't magically go back up to one or two bars, or wouldn't jump back up after driving a bit.

I filled up 11.9 gal and got 30.25 mpg that tank.
i only average out about 15 mpg city/highway
which sucks i usually get 160-180 mpg
and i drive conservative like 90% of the time.
the only thing done to the car was a custom striagh pipe exhuast with a hks muffler and resinator.
and a k&n intake,

something is wrong with your car, or your definition of conversative doesn't match up to other people's definition

dude, you're lying to everyone, blatantly. We made it to Suwannee from Peachtree City (50 miles one way for those that don't know ) to pick up my toda header, remember?? This was when we were in the gas crisis and 1 gallon got us up there and back...

I have ran out of fuel a couple of times now.

When zero bars are left, I can manage 30 miles of careful non VTEC driving.

The most I have ever put in is just over 51 litres (11 gallons) and that was from ran out of fuel!
