Launching
This will answer your question... I posted this a while back...

Just scroll down a little bit and you'll see my description of what I do for my launching. People seems to agree with me and it works everytime as long as I get it just right.

Just curious about what everyone's opinion is on launching the S2K. What I personally do is bring it up to around 6 grand then quickly release (without dumping). But I have heard others say they feather the clutch, or even launch at a lower RPM... anyone got any ideas?

Launching from where in what situation? Normal driving? autox? drag? street race? what?

Okay, but your slipping the clutch?! Isn't that bad, at least that is what i hear... clutch slipping... ?!
I would personally want my clutch to go before anything else cause it's the cheapest to repair and that is the reason why S2K's now come with the clutch delay valve... so that your clutch wears out and you don't blow anything up.

On the street, I can break my tires loose at 3500 rpm from a launch (rev to 3500, dump the clutch, and away she goes). I get slight bog that way and just a quick spin of the tires.
At 4500 rpm, I can dump the clutch and get virtually no bog and a clean launch with minor spin.
At 6000 rpm, I can dump the clutch and get about eight feet of spinning the tires but the car pulls very hard from there.

3500 is too low. 4500 is probably the low end of okay depending on surface and tires condition, but you do have an ap2, so the added torque might help a little. last time i launched at 5k i bogged nastily, so i guess it depends.

The roads in Texas are a little dustier so that may contribute but if I hold steady at 3500 rpm, I get a brisk launch. 4500 works very well and 6000 is great - no bog, no slip, just some spin (easily modulated) and a hard launch. You might also be a bad driver.
