Lazy ass techs at honda
They were nice enough to torque your wheels to 80 ft lbs, nothing frustrates me more than wheels that are improperly torqued. I always re-torque my wheels whenever any person touches my rims and I constantly find inconsitently torque lugs, it's one way to get warped rotors.
^ not sure if your in this business but everybody uses a impact on lugs. It will warp rotors but if you are careful and know what you are doing it will not. It's the idiots that bang on them for a while that screw it up. I've owened many cars while doing this and have never had issues with rotors. Also yes I do agree most expresss guys don't know the difference in our cars but some of us ( yes I'm on express) do. The only thing at my dealership I have noticed is that they use 80-90 not straight 90 as the book says. Most of you come from bad experiance which I understand, but lay of the techs. If you don't like them do it yourself. Also as I have experienced my shop will not let me do the big stuff on s2ki members cars because there is a peking order so to speak. What I do is at least make sure of they come in for major repairs they get a tech who is experienced in all Hondas. Remember techs are people as well and yes we do make mistakes too, we are all human it happens. Sorry I'm a lil buzzed so excuse my rant lol.
Let's face it: the public wants the tech jobs at dealerships to be positions with low pay and no respect. They have more respect for the people who carry their meal from the kitchen to their table than they do for the people who fix their brakes.
There's really no way to check your fluid like someone stated above. There's no dipstick or sight window. The service advisor dropped the ball. They should have mentioned that your diff should be serviced along with other things such as a alignment and a tire balance.
I read this title and thought... 'lazy ass owner'. Do your own dam work and stop bitching about first world problem. Good lord. This website is going to the shitter... stupid people, owning fun cars and they're left to drive on public roads. A room with padded walls might be more appropriate for this stupidness.
FYI diff fluid is good for 30k of regular driving.

lazy huh? I was annoyed that after paying 22k for a car they couldn't at least go down the list without skipping anything. And for the record I do all my maintenance myself, and replaced all my fluids a week after posting this. So lay off.

I was mostly referring to my Ford trucks that come home after they give me a tire rotation and one lug nut on each wheel is put on tight as shit, two others are barely tight, and the other two might be okay. You just know they weren't put on in a consistent manner. I understand the need to work quickly when the average tech gets paid piecemeal, but taking a few extra seconds to do it right can help me avoid a repair that can be preventable and which has very little warranty coverage. I'm the first to acknowledge that there is good and bad in every business.
Better not open your mouth than do and prove yourself a fool.
