Default Lazy idiot?? Right here!

Man I feel like a moron!! My car had been having the symptoms of the MAP sensor problem, so I arranged to take it to Honda. I went through all the trouble of disconnecting my MAP, tapping it to see if it was the problem...Even took out my spark plugs to make sure they weren't causing the problem. Then when I was about to take the car in, I thought to myself...maybe I should check my VAFC connections to make sure they're all right. Maybe one got knocked loose. Then I thought...nahhh, I'm sure it's the MAP. Took it in to Honda, and guess what they found?!?!?!?!? One of the wires had gotten knocked loose. And I remember exactly when it happened. I was going about 80-90 when I hit a series of large bumbs. If I had checked the wires, I wouldn't be out $75 bucks!! It's not the money that makes me mad, it's the fact that I could have done it myself!

Sorry, just needed to vent a little. Thanks

Hahaha, those darn bumbs, always layin in the road. Yeah, the cars ok, smarta$$ . Just that f@(&!% wire

You're lucky. In the past my idiocy usually cost me a lot more than $75.00.

That was only with this car...I had a Legend and I tried to do my timing belt...way over my head. I got the timing wrong, tried to start the car, bang!! Bunch of bent valves. Cost: $3,000 That's when I learned: If I have anything major to do, take it to my Dad or to a mechanic.
