you are willing to take out your headlight to check whether it has a crack in it...but seems like you are willing to just buy a new housing - which means youll have to take out you rlights anyway! and you mentioned you're a student and looking for a cheap fix - well 30mins to remove bumper and light seems a lot cheaper than just buying another housing.

FWIW removing the bumper and lights is EASY....just apply some clear silicone to the housing. If you dont do something...itll cost you a whole lot more if you blow an HiD and/or need to replace your ballast.

The instructions on Ricks are very good and if you follow them you should have no problem.

I'm willing to buy it and then take it somewhere and pay someone to install it--I think you can buy it online cheaper than buying from the dealer.
