Default Leasing a new s2000 HELP

Well I've never leased a car before so i have a few questions that I need help with. I'm looking to lease a new s2000 for a 3 or 4 yr period and need pricing information such as how much you put down and how much monthly payments are? If anyone can help me and post your experiences with leasing a s2000 please do. Thank you

We are waiting on our 2002 S2000 to come in (3-4 more weeks!) and the agreement we have reached is $3,860 down, $361+tax/month for a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles per year. Buyout at the end of the lease would be 21, 687. I'm hoping the dealer doesn't try to change the numbers when the car comes in. I will be if they do.

Do you have a signed contract? If not, they cannot change it.

Not yet, waiting to sell my wife's 98 Accord Coupe and get the VIN from the dealer before signing anything but the "intent to purchase" which is pretty much useless. The car was built 6/22 and the I'm going to email the dealer right now to see if they have the VIN.

If you have a Palm device, I would highly recommend
you download a shareware program called "Lease It".
It will allow you to figure out (very easily) what the interest rate, payment, etc.
should be given any of the parameters. Example: If they tell you how much the
monthly payment is and you know the purchase price is, it will verify that their
calculations are correct and tell you what the interest rate (or "factor" as they
call it to confuse you) should be.

It is awesome to sit there in the dealers office and be able to tell them where they
are trying to screw you !!!

Here is a link: Lease-It

Good luck!!
