Default LED domelight

First off, sorry if this is not in the right section.

I just put on my Led domelight today and for some reason, the domelight is still lit when i put it onto door mode (the middle). If I move it to off (the very left), it turns off.

It's very dim but still noticable that it is lit up. What would be some possibilities for it to act like this?

LED's usually require a resistor because they consume less energy...

are you sure you got the right one specified for the car?

I got these.

anybody else had a problem after putting these in? I understand how the LEDs don't require as much power to turn them on so when in "door mode" its still faintly on. but it's just pretty annoying, and was wondering if there was any way to fix it.

Try switching back to your original bulb and check it with the lens off, if it also faintly glows you may have a sticky door switch. I have the same LED in my MY04, no problems.

alright, so I guess it is because LEDs draw such low power that its lit up even when i have all the doors closed. When i replace one of them with a stock bulb, I think it creates enough resistance so it doesnt turn on.

noone else has problems? it's just very annoying to have it lit up for no reason

No problem here. I'm not using the exact same LED board light though so there could be a difference there.

hmm well, that seems weird.

Well, I went to radio shack and put a resistor inline to it and that fixed the problem.

thanks for the replies tho guys!
